I stopped here with my teenaged daughter on a road trip. A cute local place. Service was attentive but not overbearing. We ordered a pizza; I added a side salad. Salad wasn't special, but nice enough. We ordered the Big Boy crust (think deep dish/Chicago style, but a little crispier and not at all greasy); half pepperoni, which came out just right - slightly crispy but not burned or dried out. Cheese was thoroughly melted and just starting to brown. Perfect.

Good choice after searching Yelp for a convenient lunch spot off Route 86. We don't frequent chains and always look for local fare. We hit the target with this one. It was quiet when we arrived but soon other parties arrived. The chicken wrap was as fresh as it could be, only surpassed by the pot roast melt, which was to die for. We loved the creamy cole slaw and had to order more to go. The fresh cut fries were delicious served with an of offering malt vinegar. Love that. We reluctantly skipped the cakes and pies displayed under glass. Our friendly server, gracious owner, and someone who appeared to be the manager seemed genuinely interested in our overall satisfaction. The place could use some updating that would eliminate that musty smell too, but you'll miss out if you don't stop in at this casual rural restaurant.

Charming restaurant off I-90 next to Holiday Inn Express (discount for hotel guests). Dinner for 3 was just $32 with soft drinks and a glass of wine. Full service pub with very good food, not just typical bar fare. Wine selection from local wineries. Clean and nicely decorated. Pool tables and other games.

So I actually started the review while still at the restaurant, because I didn't want to forget all of the little nuggets of experience. First the decor...tacky 1990's wine theme complete with fake grapes trellised with white twinkle lights. The white paneled drop ceiling with yellow stains was a nice touch as it finished of the mold smell that wafted upon entrance. The server was a peach. Clearly disgruntled about the lack of dental plan offered In her benefits package. When I asked what the NA beer was she looked at me like...does it even matter. She even made a sound of disgust and rolled her eyes when asked what the beers on tap were. But the best moment was when asked if there were any locally sourced meats, she just stared at me with her mouth agape. I actually started laughing at her behavior at this point. I clarified with, were there any locally caught fish on the menu, can't remember if she answered me or just moved on. There was no checking to see how we were doing after she dropped off the food and when we flagged her down 3/4 of the way through our meal she was really flustered and was like, I'll be there in a second. We were one of three tables. The Food: They had a great wing selection, lots of variety in rubs and sauces, but I would say they were mediocre in flavor. The buffalo wasn't spicy at all, but sweet. The lemon Parmesan lacked lemon and salt. My baked potato wasn't anything special and though it promised to be loaded was served with packets of butter and sour cream on the side. The server actually tossed the sour cream on the table when I asked for another and it landed on its side as she sped away. Side salads were standard ice burg salads, pretty small. My husbands ox meat sub needed a jus, but it took forever to get her attention to bring some. We're not from the area...and have no reason to return. Please don't eat here unless you want super crap service with pre frozen mediocre food. Our family we were dinning with said Plummers would have been a better choice.

Perhaps not the place for a "self-proclaimed foodie" with a condescending attitude (see previous review), but if you can appreciate local color and are hungry for some familiar comfort food, you'll find it here.

First, we walk up to the place and were greeted by five smokers. Place needs a new paint job inside. Rotten smell of years of indoor smoking. Place was full of white drunk guys; my wife was afraid of being accosted at this place if left alone. I ordered marinara spaghetti and my wife wanted a salad with chicken. When the food came out my dish was basically noodles with Ragu. My wife's salad was served in a deep fried bowl - odd. Good service but overall we weren't impressed. But if you want basic American food and want to get smashed on Bud Light and then stubble back to your hotel room then this place is perfect for you.

80s diner decor and food to match. Service was cheerful and prompt. Lunch for two $21; fresh potato fries were a soggy mass; chicken wrap was good, crispy and fresh; taco wrap special was very mildly seasoned, but substantial.
